NHS Trusts to receive £1.5bn funding to help pay PFI bills
Seven of the NHS hospital trusts with the largest PFI debts are to be given £1.5bn worth of emergency grants from the Government to help them pay their bills. The money, which is being provided through a stability fund, will be given to the following trusts:

Barking, Havering and Redbridge

Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS foundation trust

St Helens and Knowsley

North Cumbria

Dartford and Gravesham

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells
