National Infrastructure Plan 2011
On 29 November 2011, HM Treasury and Infrastructure UK published the National Infrastructure Plan 2011. It updates the National Infrastructure Plan published in 2010 and "sets out a strategy for co-ordinating and planning public and private investment in UK infrastructure".
The plan announces that the priority areas for infrastructure investment are: transport, energy, communications and water and sewerage and flood risk management. It also announces the setting up of a new Cabinet Committee on infrastructure, chaired by the Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
