The £320 million South Lanarkshire Schools PFI Project involves the new build of 17 schools and the refurbishment of two others.

Lesmahagow Secondary School, one of the new builds, is a co-educational secondary school near Lanark. The school has approximately 650 pupils and moved to its new premises in August 2007. The impressive design of the new school, with its “street”, bright wide corridors and two teaching Blocks, coupled with high quality teaching facilities, provides a modern learning environment for all subject areas.
