The £81 million Scottish Borders Schools PFI project involves the new build of 3 high schools.
The new Eyemouth High School, which opened its doors to pupils in March 2009 has excellent facilities for subjects such as technology, science and sport as well as attractive open plan areas for eating and socialising. The school was designed with the environment in mind and incorporates a biomass boiler powered by woodchip from the local area. The new buildings replace the old school which was in need of change due to general wear and tear.
