The £90 million Kent Schools PFI Project, operational in 2007, involved the redevelopment of 6 secondary schools. The redevelopment included the construction of new state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities for each school, including gymnasiums, dance/drama studios and all weather pitches.
The new buildings at Ellington School for Girls in Ramsgate, Kent, with over 400 pupils, provide significantly improved accommodation to what existed previously, some of which consisted of portakabins.
